I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on the frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words.
-Hesiod, 8th century B.C.
I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on the frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words.
The quote reflects the truth of all time. Even as a young person I never got youth culture like drinking and partying because I wanted to be a home reading, watching a movie, or just going for a walk. I am a bit more reserved than some though. I still know people older than me who love to have a good party, but that does not work for me.
I posted that quote because it was ironic, though I don’t really believe it. It reminds me of something my friend says, “you kids get off of my grass.” That quote makes me laugh and was meant in jest.
Youth and those damn LGBT people. Ruining everything. I’m dying laughing.
Right? There is nothing new about the idea that prying hands off of the baton before handing it on is hard stuff. Personally. I want to give hugs and cookies to all the youth/LGBTQ people for thanking them for changing the world into something more honest. Thanks for reading and laughing too.
Hahahahaha! Why am I just seeing this? This is hilarious! The current generation have been saying this about the youngest generation since forEVER! Some things never change!
Right? Made me roar with laughter when I read it.
“You kids get offa my grayasss!” LOLOL!
